Voluntary on “Bachofen” (2016) was commissioned via the 2016 American Guild of Organists Auction for St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sayville, New York. The piece is dedicated in thanksgiving for the life and ministry of the Rev. Robert C. Wittler (1926–2016), former pastor of the church and a great champion of the church’s organ project. The work was commissioned for premiere at the dedication of the church’s new organ.
