Two Contrasts (2018) is dedicated to Timothy Miller. The two movements (which may be performed together or separately) form contrasts to each other in a number of musical ways. However, in addition to the differences, there are also connections of motivic material that link the two movements together.
Sharagan refers to a style of monodic hymn in the Armenian Orthodox Church. Madrigal alternates between declamatory, expressive music and buoyant, dance-like music.
