Prelude and Fugue No. 6 (2013) is dedicated to Sara Bareilles. In the prelude, outer sections of motoric 16th notes surround a brief, anthem-like middle section. The fugue employs a simple song form, with a lush ballad in the outer sections, surrounding a contrapuntal excursion in the middle.
