Two Aubades (2020) for solo violin were written after daily listens to Peter Sheppard Skærved’s diverse “At the Desk” recordings of violin repertoire, which he began during the 2020 Coronavirus lockdown.

These two dawn songs are largely contrasting in mood but united in musical material.
