Toccata on “Lasst uns erfreuen” (2000, rev. 2017) is dedicated to Felix Bräuer. It is a festive and ebullient setting of the traditional German chorale melody. After an introduction, the melody is heard several times over a pulsing accompaniment. The coda evokes a carillon-like atmosphere.
