Newton Antiphonies (2008) was composed for the First Unitarian Society in Newton, Massachusetts on the occasion of its 160th anniversary in November 2008. It is a work for two or more trumpets in which each trumpeter creates her own path through a series of contrasting musical ideas. The result is a spatial dialogue without direct synchronization, with new combinations and textures continuously appearing.
