Love Flows from God (2017) on a text by the German mystic Mechthild of Magdeburg was written for the unveiling of “The Divine Journey, Companions of Love and Hope,” a painting by Janet McKenzie commissioned for the re-opening of the Memorial Church of Harvard University (April 2017).
Love flows from God into us effortlessly,
As a bird glides through the air without moving its wings.
Thus we move in God’s world, united in body and soul.
As the Source makes a sound, all humanity sings.
