Bryn Mawr Voluntary (2017) was commissioned by organist Edward Landin. In the manner of many early English voluntaries, a slow section (with overture-like dotted rhythms) precedes a faster, energetic one. Throughout the music there is a blending of early-influenced modality with contemporary harmonies.
