The Choir Invisible (2013) was commissioned by Albany Pro Musica in honor of and in gratitude for the life of David Griggs-Janower (1952–2013), founder, and for 33 years beloved Artistic Director and Conductor. It was premiered in a memorial concert on January 25, 2014 by Albany Pro Musica under the direction of Joseph Farrell.

The work sets a selection of a poem by English author George Eliot (1819–1880), a text that is fitting for celebrating one whose life was devoted to inspiring others to make music.
