Suite Breve (2010) is a set of three pieces. Variations is dedicated to Adrian and Pam Self. A presentation of the lyrical (original) theme is followed by five variations. A return of the theme and a brief coda conclude the movement. Pastorale is dedicated to Christopher Uehlein, OSB in celebration of the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. Sortie is dedicated to Max Tenney and is festive and ebullient. The suite was premiered by Adrian Self at Cartmel Priory, Cumbria, England on a St. Cecilia’s Day recital.
